Hello my beautiful friends,
On warm summer days I always prefer to have a fresh smoothie for breakfast, so lately I’ve been enjoying myself in the kitchen trying different smoothie combos. By now I believe that I have mastered my pink smoothie combination and I’m sharing my – all natural – favorite recipe with you. Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
- Half banana
- 4 strawberries
- 1 slice of beet
- 1 slice of eggplant
- 1 small slice of fresh ginger
- 1 tb spoon of Awaking Buda from Iswari
- Coconut water to taste
Topping:
- Blueberries
- Raspberries
- Coconut
- Linseeds
- Sunflower seeds
- Goji berries
Directions:
- Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend on high until smooth.
- Top the smoothie with your favorite superfoods. Enjoy!
Tip: * For a sweeter smoothie use coconut water instead of water, otherwise water or almond milk will also be good replacements.
Here are a few reasons to chug this down, from a nutritional standpoint:
Eggplant: Great source of fiber, potassium and vitamins B1 and B6.
Ginger: Lowers blood sugars, has anti-inflammatory properties, reduces muscle pain and soreness.
Beet: Improves athletic performance by lowering blood pressure and increasing blood flow. Cleanses the liver, has anti-inflammatory properties and it’s a great source of iron.
Strawberries – High in antioxidants, rich source of vitamin C, facilitate digestion, the fiber and potassium in strawberries support heart health.
