Easy overnight oats recipe

Hello everybody!

Global Conference in China is around the corner and during demanding times it’s absolutely vital not to loose sight of health and wellbeing in order to keep focus and productivity high. Therefore I am committed to make the most out of my days beginning with healthy choices.

Starting the day with a healthy breakfast is fundamental and oatmeal is a popular breakfast within the fitness community, however have you ever wondered why? Oats provide magnesium, fiber, plant-based protein, potassium, and they contain no sugar, which makes them a true virtue for a healthy start in the morning. It´s scientifically proven that if we start our days by making healthy choices we are more predisposed to keep up good choices throughout the day avoiding refined sugars or processed carbs.

You might be wondering why am I switching from a regular oatmeal bowl in the morning to overnight oats… Very simply! It only takes two minutes in the evening to prepare a delicious breakfast and saves me around 10 minutes in the morning. Furthermore the digestabilibty of oatmeal improves greatly as their starches break down.

Easy soaked oats recipe:

  • 1/3-1/2 cup of oatmeal
  • 1 cup unsweetened milk – I prefer almond milk
  • 1 tea spoon of chia seeds
  • 1 tea spoon of linseed
  • 1 apple finely sliced
  • add stevia for extra sweetness – I personally don’t include any kind of sweetener
  • pinch of cinnamon

Directions:

1- Mix the oatmeal with milk. Stir vigorously.

2- Add the sliced apple and the seeds and stir again.

3- Cover with cling film and take it to the fridge.

4- In the morning, add berries or other fruits on top and enjoy!

Mix all the ingredients vigorously

Stay beautiful,

Joana
